Contact-info suspension

Google Business Profile suspended after a phone or website change

A phone number, website, booking link, or redirect change can create a trust problem if the profile no longer points to the same business customers can verify elsewhere.

What Google says to check

Google's Business Profile guidelines say the phone number should connect to the individual business location, the website should represent that individual business location, and phone numbers or URLs should not redirect or refer users away from the actual business.

Why appeals get muddy

Service businesses often use tracking numbers, call centers, intake forms, franchise pages, booking tools, or new domains. The appeal prep job is to show that the contact path still belongs to the same real business.

Contact evidence map

Profile fieldEvidence to compareRisk to resolve
Primary phoneWebsite contact page, invoices, vehicle graphics, ads, call tracking account notes. The number routes to a generic call center or another business.
Additional phoneBusiness records, website footer, service pages, appointment confirmations. The number is old, unreachable, or not under business control.
Website URLHomepage, contact page, local landing page, domain ownership or site admin notes. The URL redirects to a lead-gen page or unrelated brand.
Booking or appointment URLBooking tool settings, confirmation emails, embedded website widgets. The booking path does not clearly identify the same business.
Public contact detailsProfile, website, citations, social pages, and customer-facing materials.Public sources show mixed names, phones, domains, or locations.

If you changed domains

Map the old domain to the new domain and make sure the new site clearly shows the same business name, services, and contact path.

If you changed phone numbers

Document why the number changed, where the new number appears, and whether it connects directly to the business.

If redirects are involved

Keep the appeal plain. Explain which URL is the business website and remove confusing redirects before citing it as evidence.
