Licensed home-service profiles

Plumber, HVAC, or electrician Google Business Profile suspended?

Before writing an appeal, organize the evidence that proves the same business identity across your profile, website, licenses, service areas, and customer-facing materials.

Trades profiles can be fragile because many operate from a hidden address, cover multiple service areas, and use license or contractor documents that may not perfectly match the profile text. A clean appeal packet should make those details easy to compare.

Evidence to line up first

  • Business license, contractor registration, insurance certificate, or state trade license showing the real business name.
  • Website contact and service pages that use the same business name and explain the actual service area.
  • Profile screenshots showing the business name, category, hidden-address state, service areas, phone, and website.
  • Redacted invoices, appointment records, or job photos that show real service activity without exposing customer private details.
  • A short change log if the profile was edited before the suspension, especially address, name, category, or service-area changes.

Common mismatch points

  • Profile name includes city keywords that are not part of the legal or public business name.
  • The address is visible even though customers are not served at that address.
  • Service areas are broader than the business can reasonably support.
  • The primary category is too broad or does not match the strongest trade service.

Appeal wording angle

Keep the appeal factual. State the trade, how customers are served, what profile details were corrected, and which attached documents support the profile. Avoid blaming competitors, repeating keywords, or adding unsupported promises.
