Guideline violation prep

Google Business Profile suspended for a guideline violation or policy issue

When the suspension wording is broad, do not guess or write a long argument. Treat it as a profile-quality audit: identify the likely guideline area, correct contradictions, and prepare evidence that supports the current business facts.

What to do first

Map the broad wording to a concrete issue: business name, address visibility, service area, category, website, phone, duplicate profile, deceptive content, or account restriction.

Guideline-violation evidence map

Likely issue areaWhat to reviewEvidence to prepare
Business nameKeyword stuffing, old DBA, or name that does not match real-world documents.Registration, license, DBA record, website header, and customer-facing materials.
Address or service areaHidden-address setup, mailbox, virtual office, coworking space, or customer-facing address claims.Address visibility notes, service-area settings, lease or signage proof if relevant, and website contact page.
Categories or servicesCategories that are too broad, unsupported, or no longer match the business.Website service pages, licenses, invoices with private details reviewed, and service proof.
Phone or websiteTracking number, old landing page, redirect, disconnected phone, or conflicting contact details.Current website screenshot, phone ownership notes, profile screenshot, and contact page proof.
Duplicate or ownership conflictAnother profile, old location, agency ownership issue, or merged listing.Profile URLs, ownership notes, location history, and a short duplicate-resolution log.
Misleading or deceptive contentUnsupported claims, confusing location/service claims, or content that omits important facts.Corrected profile facts, website edits, category notes, and a factual explanation of what changed.

Do not upload everything

Use only evidence that supports a specific profile fact. A large upload with unclear files can make the appeal harder to scan.

Write a narrow statement

State what was corrected, what is accurate now, and which evidence supports the current profile.

Keep a local log

Track the issue, evidence files, appeal wording, submission date, and decision status before any additional review.

When the paid pack fits

Use the free tools if you only need a quick issue route. Use the paid worksheet pack if the guideline issue touches several areas and you need document matching, profile self-audit, appeal wording, and a submission log in one packet.
