Category-change suspension

Google Business Profile suspended after a category change

A category edit can make the profile look like it changed business type, added keyword categories, or claimed services the business cannot document. The appeal packet should show the core business category, real services, and matching proof without padding the profile.

What Google says about categories

Google Business Profile Help says to choose as few categories as possible, pick categories that are specific and representative of the main business, and avoid categories used only as keywords or attributes.

What to document

Document why the selected primary category matches the business in the real world, then connect secondary categories to real services, licenses, website pages, and customer-facing materials.

Primary category

Write one sentence explaining why the primary category best describes the business people actually hire.

Secondary categories

Keep only categories that have current services, website support, and evidence the business can explain.

Appeal wording

Do not argue that the category should rank better. Explain the real-world business facts and what was corrected.

Use the kit when the category story is scattered

The paid worksheet pack is useful when you need to map categories to documents, website pages, services, and appeal wording before using Google's appeal flow.
